FAQs

We install wood, cedar, iron, wrought iron, chain link, vinyl, composite, horizontal, bull panel, and pool fences. We also handle custom fence designs. Whatever material or style you’re considering, we can walk you through the options. Learn more about pool fences at Wikipedia Pool Fence.

If your fence is leaning in one or two spots, has a few broken pickets, or a gate that won’t close, a repair is usually the way to go. If it’s rotting at the base, leaning in multiple sections, or the posts have shifted from years of soil movement, replacement makes more sense. We give you an honest assessment either way.

Cedar is our top recommendation. It’s naturally resistant to rot and insects, which is critical in Charleston where humidity and termites are constant concerns. Pressure-treated pine is a more affordable option that holds up well with proper maintenance. Both require periodic staining or sealing.

We build fences year-round in Charleston. Fall and spring offer the most comfortable working conditions, but summer and winter projects are common. Weather rarely stops construction for more than a day or two. We schedule around extreme conditions to keep your project on track.
